Labor’s record failure to fix the ramping crisis continues unabated, with patients and paramedics spending 4770 hours on the ramp last month, the second worst June ever. The figures from June 2026 are more than three times worse than June 2018, when 1030 hours were lost to ramping, the yard stick Labor used for its now broken promise. Shadow Minister for Health and Wellbeing, Jack Batty, said it is incomprehensible that upon releasing the results, Labor’s PR machine went into overdrive, trying to spin the dire record as an improvement. “Blair Boyer has just delivered the second-worst June ramping result in South Australian history – and somehow, he's celebrating. He has no shame,” Mr Batty said. “Celebrating a tiny improvement on your own worst-ever result is like an arsonist wanting credit for tossing half a glass of water on a fire that's still burning. “Labor promised to fix ramping but have instead made it worse than ever.
