We have had another big win for our local community.
When I was elected in 2022, a number of constituents approached me with safety concerns at the intersection of Kensington Road and Giles and Georges Streets. This busy intersection can be dangerous for pedestrians and cyclists to navigate.
I raised these concerns with the Minister back then, advocating for the implementation of safety upgrades to the intersection. After much deliberation, we have finally achieved funding for upgrades to the intersection, with a new pedestrian island set to be installed on Kensington Road!
I am proud we have delivered on what is an important safety upgrade for the local community.
