Meeting for Road Safety at Rose Park Primary School

Published March 2024

Further to my recent survey on school road safety, I have been contacted by a number of constituents with concerns about road safety outside Rose Park Primary School after another unfortunate traffic accident a few weeks ago.

I am relieved that no one was seriously injured and have now met with the Principal, Leadership Team and Governing Council members of Rose Park Primary School to understand the issue. This meeting raised a number of suggestions including the installation of new lights, traffic calming measures, speed cameras, speed limits, signage and road markings, and kerb-side barriers.

I would be interested in your thoughts on these suggestions as well as any other ideas that might improve road safety at the school. You can have your say in the survey below as well as read my recent letter to the Minister for Road Safety about this matter.

I will keep fighting to improve road safety in our community. If you would like to stay updated on this matter (including the Minister’s response) please send me an email to bragg@parliament.sa.gov.au or call my office on 8332 4799.
