Eastwood residents are in the dark about final plans for the Eastwood Private Hospital on Greenhill Road, causing worry over noise, proximity and aesthetics of the development neighbouring their homes.
Under current legislation, certain amendments to original development plans are not required to go through public consultation or notification; meaning neighbours cannot access updated plans or drawings and are left guessing what impact the finished development will have on their property.
I have met with concerned Eastwood residents to discuss the development and have made representations to the Minister for Housing and Urban Development and Minister for Planning, the Hon. Champion MP, to obtain answers to their questions and object to significant development plan amendments being approved without public consultation.
I will continue to advocate for Heritage preservation in our suburbs and more transparency for developments in residential areas.
