Labor's Plan for 20 Storey Towers in Glenside

Published April 2024

Last week Labor announced the initiation of a new “Code Amendment” that will seriously impact our local area.

The Code Amendment proposes a significant increase to maximum building heights and, if approved, will see 20 storey apartment towers being built in our residential suburbs.

Many in our community have raised concerns about Labor’s plan for unrestrained high rise urban infill – it will put significant pressure on traffic, schools, parking, water and open space while diminishing the unique character of our neighbourhood.

I have already written to the Minister for Planning (see below) to raise these initial concerns but it is critical the Minister hears the voice of our local community.

If you want to note your concerns or sign up for updates on this significant Code Amendment please fill the survey below, send me an email at bragg@parliament.sa.gov.au or call my office on 8332 4799.

I am holding a public meeting to discuss Labor’s planned high rise towers and how you can make sure your voice is heard.
